Perfectly Cooked Bacon







There is a way to cook bacon perfectly, every time - in the oven!  Here is the technique:

Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Place strips of bacon on a bakery cooling rack perpendicular to the rack wires over a rimmed baking sheet.  Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until just done, checking often for doneness. Watch closely that bacon is not burned. 

Storage:
Freeze, and reheat for perfect bacon on demand! Save the bacon grease drippings from the in a glass jar and refrigerate up to a week. 

Variation:  Coat the bacon in brown sugar and maple syrup, to make candied bacon, a breakfast treat.
