Watermelon Mint Limeade Spritzer
This is a refreshing drink on a hot day.
I had a watermelon and a picnic to attend, so I made up this beverage while getting ice and browsing the supermarket shelves before heading on our way to the picnic in the park.
Ingredients
1/2 large seedless watermelon, rinds removed, and chunks chopped small enough to shove in a blender. (Save a couple of rinds and watermelon chunks for decoration in the punch bowl)
1 liter 7up
2 gallon containers fresh Limeade
1 liter club soda
10 lbs cube ice
1 handful fresh mint leaves (about 3 T ) bruised
Blend half of the watermelon with 2 c. limeade in blender or muddle watermelon in ice. Combine all ingredients in a large punch bowl or Igloo beverage container.
Serve immediately.
